Named to the list of Top 50 female attorneys in Georgia, Lyn Dodson has earned a reputation as a strong advocate for her clients. In her role as a litigator for over twenty years, Lyn has represented both individuals and corporations in matters including personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and premises liability. In 2016, Lyn expanded her practice to include providing dispute resolution services. Having participated in hundreds of mediations advocating for both plaintiffs and defendants prior to becoming a mediator herself, she is a neutral well positioned to understand both sides of the case and she works tirelessly to help the parties to a resolution.
Lyn began the practice of law in 1998, as a law clerk for the appellate courts in Mississippi, both the Supreme Court of Mississippi and the Court of Appeals of Mississippi. Following her clerkships, Lyn practiced law with a firm in Jackson, Mississippi representing corporations, banks and insurance companies in general civil litigation including products liability, personal injury, banking matters and toxic tort defense litigation. She moved to Atlanta in 2005 and began practicing with a firm in Midtown where she defended corporations, businesses and individuals in negligence claims. In 2007, Lyn began practicing with what would ultimately become Katz Wright Fleming Dodson & Mildenhall where she pursued claims for individuals injured due to the negligence of others.
Lyn strongly believes that the goal for both sides should be to work together to come to an agreement that will allow the parties a way forward without relinquishing control to a jury. Due to her balanced background in over twenty years as a litigator, she is sought after regularly by attorneys from the plaintiff’s bar and the defense bar.
